ABOUT US Charles "Bud" Cushing is the proprietor of Cushing Field (0C8). Bud opened the flying school in 1987. He received his Pilot certificate in 1947, and soon thereafter he earned his Instrument, Commercial, CFI, CFII and ATP certifications. Having a brief stint in Naval ROTC, Bud was offered a job flying for Trans World Airways (TWA). He retired there as one of the most senior ranking Captain's ever with over 41 years of service.
